Should I allow a nurse case manager on my workers’ compensation case?

NO! I am often meeting with clients who have already had a nurse case manager on their claims. Most often, the client seems to think the nurse is on his/her side and trying to help. This is not the case. The nurse works for the insurance company. The nurse is paid to reduce the costs in your claim. The nurse will select the most defense orientated doctors and then communicate with that doctor to get you back to work as quickly as possible. If you already have a nurse case manager on your case, you can contact the Law Offices of Laura Lanzisera to have that nurse removed. It is best to do this as early as possible in your case before return to work decisions are made and medical treatment is denied.
